WELCOME TO THE BC AMBROSIA APPLES NEWSLETTER  – November 2014

To-Die-For Dessert

Do you want to impress your guests with a beautiful and delicious dessert? This German Ambrosia Apple Cake with a caramel drizzle will have everyone coming back for seconds. If you’ve been an Ambrosia apple newsletter subscriber for a while, you might recognize this recipe as the winner from our Orchard to Table Recipe Contest. We love it so much, we wanted to make sure you didn’t forget about it as the holiday season approaches. It’s a real crowd pleaser. If your guests ask for the recipe, why not suggest they  sign up for this newsletter? They’ll get this recipe (and many more) in the Ambrosia Apple Lovers’ Cookbook, which will be theirs free, just for signing up.

Video: Meet Your BC Ambrosia Apple Growers – Avtar & Ronnie Mann

Meet Ronnie & Avtar Mann. Originally from India, they came to Canada separately but discovered a joint desire to grow great food. They consider themselves lucky to lease a farm that comes with the guidance of one of the Okanagan’s best orchardists and produces a crop of Ambrosia that they know people love. They’re a true success story but we’re far from the last chapter. The Manns have future ambitions that they’re nurturing in an interesting way. We’re happy to introduce you to these amazing BC Ambrosia apple growers.

Share Your Beautiful Ambrosia Apples

We love to see how your Ambrosia look and so do others in our Ambrosia-loving community. Snap a picture of your market’s Ambrosia bin, your best looking apple or how you’ve served up your Ambrosia and share. We’re always watching Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook  and Twitter but it’s even better when you post them to our page or tag us in your posts. Let’s share the Ambrosia love.

Have a Taste on Us

We love to introduce people to Ambrosia apples for their first time but we also love to hear from people who have already discovered Ambrosia and consider it their favourite apple. You can imagine how much satisfaction we get from hosting sampling events. We’ve got a big one coming up in Regina. We’ll be at the Canadian Western Agribition and we’d love to see you there. If you can’t make it, perhaps we’ll see you at one of our other events. Be sure to tell your friends in Saskatchewan to stop by and taste one of the best apples in the world.

Get Ready for a Contest

We’re busily putting the finishing touches on our next contest. You know from our past contests that our prizes are pretty spectacular and this year is no different. We can’t share any details yet but we wanted you to know first about our coming contest. Keep your eye on our contest page and your inbox for details. We’ll reveal everything in the next newsletter.
