Celebrating #FirstAmbrosia
What a great start to the Ambrosia apple season. We’re so happy to see Ambrosia fans using the #FirstAmbrosia hashtag and sharing their first Ambrosia moments with our community on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We loved hearing from our Facebook friend Michele Rodger who shared that she devoured half of her first bag of Ambrosia in just a few days. Keep it up Ambrosia fans. Let us know on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter where you’re finding your Ambrosia and how you’re enjoying this season of abundant apples.

Fabulous Fall Comfort Food
Fall is the season for soups. The best soups are packed with hearty, local ingredients that delight our taste buds and warm us up from the inside out. One of our absolute favourites is the Ambrosia Apple Soup. Chef Stuart Klassen shared with us. This recipe starts with an easy vegetable stock made from scratch and is just chockfull of Ambrosia. It’s hearty, healthy and guaranteed to satisfy any autumn comfort food craving.

The Perfect School Snack
Sending your child off to school with a packed lunch can be a bit of a gamble; will they eat it, will they trade it, will it ever see the light of day? One way to ensure your kids dig into their lunch bag is to include a healthy and delicious Ambrosia apple snack. What’s great about Ambrosia apples is that they’re slow to brown so you can cut them in the morning (or the night before), place them in a tightly sealed plastic bag, and they’ll still be creamy white by snack time (no lemon juice required). Add a small container with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter, a scoop of hummus or yogurt for dipping and you’ll be sure to see those lunch bags coming home empty.

Get a Jump on Flu Season
With flu season approaching you might want to remember the old adage about an apple a day keeping the doctor away. What is it about apples that make them so good for your immune system? You might immediately think it’s the vitamin C (after all, a medium apple has 20% of your daily requirement) but there’s something else in each apple that’s helping to boost your immune system. Studies show that soluble fiber can super-charge your immune cells, enabling them to fight off and recover faster from viruses. Ambrosia apples are an excellent source of soluble fiber and, if you ask us, a pretty tasty way to take your medicine.
